Cheddars Scratch Kitchen




Cheddars Scratch Kitchen is always a trustworthy choice when looking for a quality lunch or dinner in a pleasant atmosphere at a reasonable price. On a shopping expedition one Saturday, I decided I would need fuel to power me through the rest of the afternoon, and - as usual - Cheddar’s delivered!



For this visit, I chose their new-to-the menu Bourbon-Glazed Pork Chop. Ten ounces of meaty goodness was soon in front of me, and I can’t complain about a single bit of any of it! The chop was perfectly cooked, the glaze was sweet and lightly smoky (perfect for a wet winter afternoon), and the mashed potatoes and black beans were both exceptional.



I noticed that the ornamental onion rings atop the chop had a wonderfully light breading, which lead me to stare with envy at the fried chicken tenders so many other diners were receiving. Next time, I’m going to try those!



My dining companion got a combo plate with a little steak and some ribs. I’m going to just assume he like it all, since my inquiries were always met with growls (hard to talk with your mouth full) and a short time all that were left on the plate were clean rib bones!
