55 Degrees is a locally owned wine bar located in Downtown Carrollton.
Two dollar Taco Tuesdays are terrific. Blackened Tilapia, Shrimp (my favorite), Chicken Pinapple, Pork and Brisket Tacos are always a hit. I tried their grilled cheese sandwich recently and it was the best I have ever had. They added bacon in the ingredients and I am now addicted to this item.
The food taste fresh and there is no doubt everything is made in house. The homemade Sangria and the chocolate cake make customers become regulars.
Here is some interesting information on the building of 55 Degrees. This was the city's original location for the a county morgue. While visiting this building, some claim they have seen people that do not exist. Other may hear unexplained voices, lights flash on and off, and doors opening without help from people. Whatever your experience may be, you will be able to enjoy great food and wine.
The crowd is often diverse and friendly (even the ghost are friendly). 55 Degrees offers live music on the weekends.
