I was out with friends for a rare happy hour, and we decided to drop in for supper before going home. Italia Express never fails to satisfy me. I like the fact that their pizza has a thin crust (which I prefer to thick) so it’s a bit crispy. The crust also has a “sour-dough” character to it. It’s not “sour,” but a bit “toothsome” and chewy at the rolled edge. It’s actually quite addictive!
The toppings can be pretty standard (pepperoni, black olive, onion, Italian sausage, etc.), but they have a nice variety of pizzas ready to select from, and you can get some unusual combinations at times. Try them all, or they’ll be happy to make you a whole pizza customized to your tastes!
They also have Cazone, Stromboli, pasta dishes and such if you don’t want pizza. And… their salads are exceptional! I had a “side salad” with my (quite large) slice which - my goodness! - was ALMOST enough for a meal in itself! Balsamic dressing; yum! Sadly I didn’t get a photo of the salad before I hoovered it up. <wink>
Finally, they have cake and cannelloni if you want dessert, along with delicious Lavazza coffee!
