Royal Oaks Neighborhood – Plano, TX

Located in the north east area of Plano is the Royal Oaks neighborhood. A serene little community, surrounded by magnificent trees of all shapes and sizes. With streets like Kings Way, Princess Lane, Noble Oaks and Jesters Court (just to name a few), one can’t help but feel transported back in time to the days of knights and castles. There’s even a Castle Drive. The neighborhood is an established community with a mix of modest 1-2 story homes. Its main artery is Royal Oaks Drive, which was widened and improved only a few years ago. Royal Oaks runs between Spring Creek Parkway and Jupiter Road, making the neighborhood easily accessible to US 75.

A Sunday walk along Oak Grove Drive can inspire folklore, with its winding walking paths, stone bridge and meandering creek. Full of character and history, this neighborhood is home to the Bowman Cemetery. This cemetery was started back in 1868 and holds a Historical Marker. And if all that isn’t enough to capture your heart and kindle your imagination, located across the creek are some gorgeous large estates and the Mill-Again Stables, providing story book scenery.

If you love nature walks, riding your bike or taking the kids to the park, this neighborhood borders the Bob Woodruff Park and the Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve.

An additional perk to this neighborhood is its key location to larger Plano events like concerts at the Oak Point Amphitheater, Plano’s 4th of July fireworks and the incredible Plano Balloon Festival...all just walking distance away.
