Purple Tako

Purple Tako has quickly become my new favorite restaurant! This cross between Hawaiian inspired dishes with Japanese flair has produced some of the most tantalizing results. It’s not just the amazing food and quality, hand crafted Tiki drinks that set this place apart from the rest, but the atmosphere is the bow on top of this delicious package. There is a strong community feel that accompanies the layout and arrangement of the tables, to the design of the menu. All of these details to encourage conversation and gives a sense of cozy gathering.

Picking out our meals proved to be quite difficult, as everything looked delicious! We decided on the Salmon Tacos paired with the pineapple fried rice, a poke bowl (think a deconstructed sushi roll), and followed it up with a decadent desert comprised of Hawaiian take on doughnuts with powdered surges. Of course we couldn’t forgo the Tiki cocktails and enjoyed a “bar tender’s” choice and an Air Mail. All of our items were served with a friendliness that is truly island style!
