Originally this was a Kip’s Big Boy, it was turned into a Norma’s and now it is The Diner. This location has been a favorite for families for generations.
The Diner began over 18 years ago when Peter and Tina Paylim purchased the restaurant on Beltline. Their mission was to create a warm, friendly, and unique retro 1950's atmosphere with great Home-Styled cooking.
The décor is perfectly 1950s, it also encompasses the local communities of Carrollton and Farmers Branch.
The food is great and so are the prices. They have Blue Plate Specials that are generous in portions and couldn’t be kinder to your wallet. One of their Blue Plate Specials is Prime Rib for 10.00. Where else can you get a deal like that one?
They also have daily specials, those are only $7.25. The Beef Stroganoff is great, but my husband’s favorite is the Friday Night special. Friday night is all you can eat Fried Catfish, with Cole Slaw, Hush Puppies, & French Fries!
The Diner also has a Diner Club. This all you must do to become a member.
