Fish N Tails Oyster Bar

With three locations in the DFW area (the others are 907 S. Central Expy., Richardson and 620 Main St., Garland), Fish N Tails is another local success story!
I chose a lunch special consisting of a two fried catfish fillets, served with fries and a couple of hushpuppies. The plate was delivered quickly, and it was immediately apparent that the catfish was piping hot, fresh from the fryer! The fries were a little thicker than the “shoestring” fries served by so many places, which meant they had a nice crispy outside but a nice “meaty” inside! The hushpuppies were excellent - they had a slightly sweet flavor which I found unusually delicious.
This location has a nice little patio which faces east - so perfect for an afternoon, with the sun being blocked by the building itself. The interior decor is like being in a seaside neighborhood hangout.
Next time I’m in the area, I’ll have to try out the nearby bigger location fronting Central Expressway. I have no doubt it will be just as satisfactory as this one!
