Cristina's Fine Mexican Food - Carrollton

In 1989 the Vargas family began their "comida casera" (home cooking) and family style service by opening Cristina’s. The Vargas family has roots from central Mexico along with down home Texas ties. It is that combination that has helped create our unique menu with a variety of down home Tex-Mex favorites as well as unique central Mexican dishes.

Just like the Latin culture, Cristina’s is more than willing to accommodate and welcome families, so kids are encouraged to tag along. Cristina's offers patio seating in the warmer months, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

Let’s talk about Tex-Mex cuisine at Cristina’s, Sautéed shrimp & smoky bacon in a rich guajillo chile sauce served in􀀀corn tortillas with melted jack cheese is a must! There’s nothing like homemade guacamole, especially when it’s made fresh in front of you. They can add more or less of whatever ingredients you want, and Cristina’s guacamole is always generous and chunky. I added jalapeno, onions with a splash of salt and pepper. The tortilla chips are light and delicious, they go perfectly with the flavorful salsa, which by the way, has just the right amount of kick.

For those of you who are watching their waistline, no worries here! The Grilled Luis Salad, Tilapia, Pechuga Limon, and Veggie Tacos are waiting for you. On my next visit I intend to try the Avocado Soup, a table next to me order that, and it smelled wonderful.

There are 13 Cristina’s location throughout the DFW metroplex. Next time you are in the mood for some Tex-Mex cuisine, please keep this place in mind.
