Mia’s Tex-Mex

Mia’s Tex-Mex has been a favorite in the neighborhood for more than three decades! Known for their delicious, comforting “tex-mex” food and tasty margaritas people eagerly line up to get in.

Although you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu, my favorite “go-to” order is the brisket enchiladas, packed with flavorful, tender brisket. You can also get that brisket in a taco version, if you so desire.

The other day, however, I found myself wanting something different and a bit lighter, so I chose the “Rainy Day Salad” (it was a drizzly day, after all!). Who knew a tex-mex place could serve such a nice salad? Fresh, crispy lettuce was accompanied by tomatoes, boiled egg, avocado, bacon bits, etc. - and best of all, by a perfectly seasoned, grilled chicken breast sliced into slender pieces! Yum!

I also need to call out their complimentary chips served upon seating. They’re fresh, unusually light and crispy, and have an addictive corn flavor.
If you’re in the ‘hood, drop on in!
