Since opening in 2012, Brix has provided “old downtown Plano” with a comfortable and friendly place to hang out with friends, play a video game, watch sports, and nosh and sip. The patrons and staff are both friendly, and Joe the bartender goes out of his way to learn your name, chat you up and check on you to make sure you’re enjoying yourself.
With about a dozen beers on tap (many “local” craft beers) as well as mixed drinks, you’re sure to find something you like.
Bar food can sometimes be hit or miss, so I’m pleased to report that the offerings at Brix have hit that sweet spot between comfortable and upscale. I especially recommend their tortilla soup, which goes well with their three-cheese grilled cheese sandwich!
