Since 2013 Sichuan King (located in Richardson’s China Town Mall) has
provided diners with elevated Chinese cooking. Pleasant atmosphere,
friendly, knowledgeable service and quality dishes will please you.
The menu is long and comprehensive; almost - but never quite -
overwhelming. Take a few minutes and it will all make sense to you. My
dining companion and I split an appetizer of “Zhong’s Spicy Dumplings”
filled with pork and served in a bowl atop a nicely chile oil dressing.
Toss the dumplings first to coat them with the sauce, the enjoy!
I had a delicious Spicy Beef Noodle bowl, which is really more of a
soup, packed with noodles, tiny diced veggies and chucks of tender beef,
all wallowing in a hearty, beefy broth. Very satisfying!
My friend had Fiery Beef - although tasty and a bit hot, I would not call this “fiery” so don’t be afraid!
No alcohol, but perhaps you can bring your own bottle - a nice Riesing would have gone well with what we had!
After gorging yourself, take a stroll down the main driveway and look
at the line of granite statues depicting Chinese historical figures!
