Monkey King Noodle Co.

Thank you owner Andrew Chen, Monkey King Noodle Co. for bringing the taste of legitimate Northern Chinese street food to Downtown Carrollton!
Andrew makes everything to order, starting with their LaMian (hand-pulled) noodles to the decadent Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings). The Soup Dumplings are delicious and worth the visit to Monkey King Noodle.

Monkey King also has something that its suburban counterparts sorely lack. Chen’s restaurant focuses on street food — the dishes he lusted for after a night of drinking in Taipei. Chen may be converting Carrolltonians slowly, but he’s doing it.
The fiery blend of twisty noodles, cilantro, scallions, tender beef chunks, and chile oil is an old family recipe of Chen’s, and the broth is carefully stewed overnight.

House-made soup dumplings, rich with pork broth, are another favorite, along with the dandan noodles (chicken broth, minced pork, cilantro, chile, scallions, ginger, and garlic). The menu is short, with few vegetarian options, but everything is worth a try, including the spicy, cold cucumber salad.

Try the scallion pancakes and the Wonton Chicken Noodles. Occasionally Chen will offer brisket egg rolls. When he does offer the egg rolls, TRY them! They are the BEST I have ever tried.
Monkey King Noodle is also dog friendly! They have an outdoor patio that makes the Noodle experience even better.
