Sandy Lake Amusement Park

This place makes me happy and want to smile!!
Want affordable family fun in a safe environment? Want someplace to visit to make those memories that last a life time? Would you like to take your children to a place that gives them a glimpse of your childhood days? Or would you like to impress someone with a truly fun and unique date?

If so, then take a trip to Sandy Lake Park. Your new favorite place is just 4 miles north of I-635 (LBJ Freeway) and the I-35E interchange in northwest Dallas at: 1800 Sandy Lake Road Carrolton, TX 75006

Sandy Lake Amusement Park has successfully lasted where many other locally owned small amusement parks have disappeared in the oncoming storm of technology and bigger and better thrill rides.

When one visits this place you feel as if you have taken a trip into some 1950s family TV show. One may expect to run into cast members from the Andy Griffith Show, Father Knows Best or Happy Days. This place is the American Pie dream of a 4th of July Picnic with family and town friends. I am proud and happy a place like this remains strong.

Owners Vickie and Frank Rush and Suzy and Tom Self combine a lifetime of service and dedication to the amusement business. They represent the third generation of “hands on” managers Since purchasing Sandy Lake in 1971, the park and the family have been recognized nationally as operating one of the finest “traditional” American parks.

“Our children and grandchildren represent the fourth and fifth generations that are involved in the family business,” say the park owners, “and we want park guests to enjoy a fun, safe and affordable experience, just like the rest of our family would expect”.
The park is designed with a variety of entertainment while providing a place to get together for fellowship, not lost in a crowd. The Sandy Lake Park family offers just the right combination of location, professional services, and great food to make your group outing something truly special.

Plan on swimming, enjoying a pony ride, bumper cars, a train ride, mini-golf, paddle boats, a precious ferris wheel and one of the BEST hot dogs you have ever had! Most of all, plan on making memories with your family that does NOT include anything that will involve a phone!
