Located in the Lakepoint Towne Crossing shopping center (with the big Target), Open Rice is just the kind of locally-owned jewel we need more of! I dropped in to grab a late lunch before doing some power shopping, and I’m glad I did!
Though small, the space is bright, clean and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and I’m guessing all the food is “cooked to order.” My Kung Pao Chicken lunch special was piping hot and came with a tasty little egg roll. The portion was plentiful - if I wasn’t starving to death, I might have had enough to save some for… oh, who am I kidding. I couldn’t keep from gobbling it all down!
Net time I’m going to try a different lunch special with the “plain fried rice” (at no extra charge!).
