Cane Rosso Rescue

Located in south Carrollton, near I-35 and Beltline sits one of the best dog rescues I have ever seen. Cane Rosso Rescue is a 501c, not for profit organization dedicated to raising funds and building awareness for dogs in need of homes in Texas. The goal of Cane Rosso Rescue is to find homes for dogs that have been abandoned at shelters or whose owners can no longer care for them.

Cane Rosso Rescue was founded in March of 2014. This is when Jay Jerrier, owner of Dallas area pizza restaurants, Cane Rosso and Zoli's NY Pizza Tavern, expanded his reach beyond the restaurant world. He wanted to help save the life of Walter, a Viszla mix at a shelter in Arlington, TX. Jay is a longtime Viszla and German Shorthaired Pointer owner. He and Cane Rosso Rescue have since helped find homes for over 300 dogs (and counting!).

If you are looking to get involved with your community, I encourage you to get involved with this FANTASTIC Rescue. They are always in need of fosters, blankets, those looking to adopt, or an extra hand around the rescue facility. Here is the link that will get you in contact with them.
