Ms. Mary’s Southern Kitchen - Soul Food in Carrollton

I was pleasantly surprised and will be returning to this place! Thank you Ms. Mary’s Southern Kitchen.

The moment I walked into her restaurant, I felt as if I was visiting a dear friend. Her staff was as friendly as any Texan should be, and the menu was everything I could have hoped for. My husband and I had two full lunches and a dessert, our bill came to only $27.00. Our meals were generous portions and we loved everything we ordered.

I urge you to share a Soul Food moment with those you love in Ms Mary's Southern Kitchen. Thank you Ms Mary for choosing to share your beautiful Soul Food with North Texas, and thank you for making Carrollton your home.

It all started when Ms. Mary Davis was laid off from her Fortune 500 management position after 20 years of service in 2001. She had to think deep and hard about what would be her next move. As she began to soul search, her family history and background in food kept coming to her mind and heart.
She soon found herself headed to her bank to reinvest her 401K retirement account back into herself and her rich family history in comfort food and good times. In 2002 she opened her first restaurant called Ms. Mary's Southern Cuisine located off Frankford Road and I-35 in Carrollton, TX. After much hard work and great success, Ms. Mary had to closed the restaurant in 2007 to take care of her very ill mother-in-law until she passed.

Ms. Mary soon wanted to get started again, so she began looking for a new location in Carrollton, TX. The city of Carrollton welcomed her back with open arms. In February of 2016 she opened a beautiful location that is fresh and classy with a touch of southern comfort that will make everyone feel right at home. And also with a new name - Ms. Mary's Southern Kitchen. Located at 1500 W. Hebron Parkway, Suite 102, Carrollton, TX

Ms. Mary's vision is all about the food, the jazz music in the background and people enjoying themselves around quality great tasting home-made food.
