The Egg & I - Carrollton

In 1987, Rayno and Patty Seaser wanted to create a daytime-only restaurant based on the simple premise that what guests really want is delicious food served by friendly people. From humble roots, that restaurant was born and first opened in Fort Collins, Colorado. Inspired by the 1940s American memoir written by Betty MacDonald, they named the restaurant The Egg & I and the rest, as they say, is history. The Egg & I Restaurants have been serving our friends across the nation ever since.
Today, their commitment to provide friendly service and delicious breakfast, brunch and lunch remains the same.



The food is brunch Eggscellent! The salads are great, I loved the Bacon Avocado Chicken Salas it was grilled all-natural white meat chicken with Havarti dill, sugar-spiced bacon, fresh avocado, shredded lettuce, sliced tomato and a honey-mustard sauce on a grilled brioche bun.


Their Waffles are delicious! The Strawberry Banana Waffle is worth a second trip. It comes with a golden Belgian waffle topped with fresh strawberries, bananas and toasted walnuts. Served with powdered sugar and whipped cream.



The Egg and I has a fantastic choice of lower calorie entrées, including egg white omelets & frittatas as well as our Steel Cut Oatmeal and Fresh Fruit & Yogurt. They are community involved and they are proud of it! Whether they are raising funds for our local schools, cheering on youth sports teams, or cooking up pancakes for half-marathon runners, they love to give back to our local communities.
