Every once in a while you need to treat yourself and your special friends to an amazing meal. Our go to place is The Keg Steakhouse + Bar. Located at The Shops at Willow Bend on the Plano/Carrollton border, this restaurant has some of the most attentive and caring wait staff I've every experienced.
We have gone to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and just the end of hectic weeks. I tend to order my steak Well Done, which I know is not how most people prefer it. My dinner companions often get medium rare or medium well. We have never had to send a steak back. They seem to always come out perfect. You can also pick between ribs, chicken, salmon, char, tuna, and more. Surf and Turf combinations are available!
Don't miss the starters. If you like mushrooms, you'll love the Mushrooms Neptune. I've had the Shrimp Cocktail and the Calamari is AMAZING.
The sides are really a treat. The twice baked potato is a must. The Mac & Cheese is always on one of the plates at our table. I'm not a big cheese eater (I know, two strikes) but my friends love it.
Now, let's not forget that the bar is fully stocked and ready for your favorite order. My dinner friends tried the French Martini and ordered several throughout the event. I was happily floating with a few Lemon Drop Martinis myself. Signature drinks and beers are available and you'll want to try several.
Dessert is a must! We've sampled the Crème Brûlée, the Billy Minor Pie, the Margarita Key Lime Pie and the Carrot Cake. We had to stop eating, it was all just too good.
There is never a parking problem at this location. And if you're expecting a large party, reservations are a must. They are available on OpenTable.com
