Beth Marie's Old Fashioned!

Sunday afternoon was a perfect time to visit the original location of Beth Marie’s! I chose to satisfy my sweet tooth with a coke float that rivaled any others I have had before. My friends that joined me that afternoon, had shakes and sundaes that were equally delicious!

Walking into this historic location built in 1876, you will find between 48 and 68 flavors of the most delicious ice cream and various food options. The company is known for having 120 flavors, each one is made by a machine built in 1927! This machine may be an antique, but the 10 gallons of ice cream produced in 18 minuets shows this process is a time honored treasure.

Opened in 1998 by Beth Marie & Dr. Randy Cox, this charming ice cream parlor is located on the South side of Denton’s Historic Square. The popularity gained so much momentum that locations in Denton’s south side, Sherman, and Carrollton have popped up! Should you want to enjoy this wonderful treat at home, you can pick up a few flavors at some Central Market locations in pint containers.

You will also find this delectable treat if you ever visit Metzler’s BBQ in Denton, Hey Sugar Candy in their Roanoke, Waco & Decatur locations, Rudy's BBQ restaurants in Northeast Texas and Hypnotic Emporium in Dallas and even some convenience stores in the Denton area! So many opportunities to try this quality old fashioned ice cream! Enjoy!
